Metro PT is looking for a
_ full-time, temp-perm _Payroll Administrator that will ensure accurate processing of multi-state weekly, bi-weekly payrolls for multiple locations.

Ensures payroll activities are performed in a timely manner with an exceptional level of quality. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to payroll processing, responding to employee inquiries, garnishments and verifications.

Starting early June for a minimum 4 mos w/ potential for permanent opportunity

Hourly Rate:

$26-$30


Requirements:


What You'll be Doing

  • Ensures the accurate set up of employees in Paylocity system.
  • Responsible for processing requests timely through Paylocity and adherence to employees offer letters and contractual agreements.
  • Ensures that all time corrections, offcycle checks, additional checks and garnishments are processed accurately through payroll input into Paylocity.
  • Responsible for loading mass data such as bonuses into Paylocity Workforce by utilizing and referring to Excel templates.
  • Accurately calculates special compensation, commissions, retro pay, final term pay and leave of absence pay.
  • Assist Managers with questions on time and attendance tracking in Paylocity Workforce, while providing prompt and excellent customer service.
  • Ensures appropriate and timely setup of benefits and makes adjusting entries for deduction in arrears.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding employee verification of employment forms.
  • Understanding of Federal and multistate W4s and unique requirements by state.
  • Understanding of Payroll concepts including gross to net, pretax benefits, supplemental wages/tax, disposable earnings, etc.
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve Payroll processing by thinking outside the box, making recommendations and putting those ideas into production.
  • Run standardized Workforce audit reports with the ability to analyze and check for management.
  • Maintains the highest level of employee confidentiality of sensitive information and securing all appropriate documentation.

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Min. 2 years of recent payroll processing experience
  • Multistate payroll processing experience preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity, or other enterprise payroll system experience.
  • Solid analytical skills/systems analysis capabilities with knowledge of high tech pay modeling tools and databases.
  • Knowledge of deferred compensation plans, retirement savings, and benefit plans
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to diffuse client frustrations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use logic and problemsolving skills to resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
