***: This position serves as the clinic manager for the Yuba City facility. This position is a department head position and works closely with the Administration and the departments in managing the operations of the satellite facility. Responsible for the healthcare system as it relates to patient flow at the satellite facility. This position also serves as a member of the Emergency Operations Plan team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Oversees daily operations of the facility as it relates to the provision of healthcare service, including administrative duties and oversight, coordination and evaluation of the work of the YC employees.
  • Responsible for achieving a satisfactory work environment between the satellite facility and the main facility as well as with other departments within the agency.
  • Assists in the accumulation, display, routing and dissemination of information to appropriate staff and departments.
  • Responsible for continuity of care in the provision of comprehensive services, the daily operations of the Medical Clinic in relation to patient flow, walkins and other patient needs and for coordinating services with other departments
  • Oversees the coordination of personnel activities and schedules as it relates to satellite staff.
  • Oversees staff in ensuring timeliness and appropriateness of referrals to specialists and outside agencies, as requested by health care providers, utilizing FRTH guidelines.
  • Implements policies and procedures for documenting, storing and retrieving information and for processing of medicallegal documents, insurance data and correspondence requests in conformance with federal, state and local standards
  • Coordinates the registration and maintenance of all patient registration information in accordance with agency and Indian Health Service registration policies for YC facility.
  • As a department head, participates in planning changes and improvements as approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Supports and enforce infection control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional approach to patient confidentiality.
  • Works to maintain a cost effectiveness of the program, recommending improvements to provide better utilization of personnel and resources.
  • Oversees patient education, staff education and maintenance of records as required by the departments.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement Committee activities including accumulation of data and performing audits, as requested.
  • Participates in emergency preparedness activities as identified or requested.
  • Coordinates implementation of IIPP as it relates to operations of the site.
  • Ensures that equipment operations are functional and operational to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Member of the Emergency Operations Plan team.
  • Responsible for After Hour Critical Lab notifications.
  • At the time of hire, each employee will meet with their supervisor to set measurable goals and objectives that are a requirement for the position. These measurables will be monitored by the supervisor and reviewed during the introductory period. They will also be utilized in the annual performance evaluation. The measurables may change from year to year. The supervisor is responsible for notifying the employee of any new measurables at the time of the performance review.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Attend all staff meetings as needed and serves on agency committees, work groups, and other bodies as assigned.
  • Assists departments with preparation for program review by outside agencies.
  • Performs other duties, studies, and research as deemed necessary by supervisors.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and productively.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in use of computers and various software?s required.
  • Ability to obtain CPR certificate as required for position.
