Position Summary:

The Installation Apprentice will be responsible for learning and assisting a lead technician in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of fire, security, access control, CCTV, and related systems and components.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assisting in installation, service, and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems
  • System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
  • Troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
  • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Required Skills:


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work with power tools
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work both alone and in group settings
  • A strong work ethic and professional appearance
  • Strong Time Management Skills
  • Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must read and speak English
  • Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
