Kalas is a copper wire manufacturer and is looking for machine operators on 3rd Shift. We are a family-oriented company and love to promote within. There is much opportunity for growth and longevity at Kalas


Job Functions of Machine Operator:


  • Sets up machine, strings extruder, checks tip die and print wheel, picks out tickets, operates accumulator, changes extruder screws, loads payoff reels.
  • Sets and adjusts center on wire. Sets up and monitors ink printer.
  • Maintains machine to include cleaning and quality checks.
  • Splices wire to ensure continuous production.
  • Performs rereeling and/or packing of finished product, wraps reels, applies tickets and labels, then loads onto skids.
  • Maintains records and submits accurate paperwork.

Qualifications of Machine Operator:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Equivalent experience providing knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently push/pull up to 1000 pounds. (assistance available)
  • Ability to stand continuously for entire shifts.

Experience of Machine Operator:


  • Preferred warehouse experience
  • Preferred machine operating experience

Pay:
$25.30 per hour
