    Sr Product Manager - ML/AI Software

    About this role:


    As a Product Manager at Groq, you will be responsible for crafting winning products and solutions that push the boundaries of computing and that enable breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance Computing (HPC).

    In this role, you will join a Product team passionate about bringing Groq's groundbreaking AI/HPC hardware and software to developers around the world and to make Groq the simplest way for people to build powerful AI/ML solutions.

    You will work closely with engineers and sales teams to understand ML industry needs, define new products, and bring these products to market.

    You will also support marketing and sales enablement to showcase the value to customers.

    The ideal candidate will both have the technical depth to convert the potential of Groq's Tensor Streaming Processor architecture into product momentum as well as the deep product sense to understand what makes a compelling service for developers and system architects.

    Simply put, this is a significant role that will redefine access to AI across industries and society.

    Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

    Cultivate deep insight for AI/ML/HPC developer challenges & trends - their overall goals, preferred frameworks, typical workflows, common struggles, etc.

    and articulate that within Groq.
    Guide the creation of software that simplifies the deployment of Groq inference solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.

    Represent the voice of the customer to our engineering teams and build roadmaps and go to market strategies in order to guarantee that our development approach is customer focused.

    Develop the vision for Groq software stack and roadmap, from firmware and drivers to compilers and deployment tools based on clear market opportunities.

    Push data-driven decision making and set priorities for product development.
    Drive improvements to existing software systems and define new customer-facing solutions, including crafting the vision for the customer experience.

    Design and own business-critical important metrics and engage with user experience researchers and data scientists to continuously improve product performance.

    Develop relationships with prospects, customers, and advisory boards while supporting sales, marketing, and business development.
    Collaborate closely with our project management and technical leadership to execute product plans quickly and effectively.

    Qualifications for this role:
    Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
    Product management experience (5+ years), preferably in the AI accelerator industry.

    Deep technical background and solid understanding of AI / ML systems, frameworks, developer workflows, ML model architectures, development platforms, and software.

    Experience or understanding of the software stack for ML hardware, including firmware, drivers, compilers, and runtime environments.
    Track record of defining and executing successful product strategies, including product roadmaps and go-to-market plans.
    Experience driving software development process from requirement gathering, road mapping, planning, scheduling, and execution.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners.
    Strong business acumen and understanding of the AI hardware market and ecosystem.

    Strength in several of the following areas, including roadmap development, market research and analysis, cross-functional collaboration, product development process, stakeholder engagement, product performance or industry thought leadership.

    Compensation:
    The national pay range for our technical roles are $100,000-$500,000. The national pay range for our non-technical roles are $90,000-$470,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Groq's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
