Responsibilities:
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women's trauma unit.
Registered Dietitians are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:
- Provides nutrition-related expertise in the interdisciplinary treatment management of patients
- Demonstrates analytical skills for assessments, and critical thinking skills for appropriate decision making
- Implements the nutrition care plan and documents in ADIME format within the electronic medical records system
- Provides nutrition education programing to patients demonstrating excellent communication skills and strong nutrition counseling skills

Qualifications:
What Does LBHH Require for this Role?

Licensure:Must be licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) through the Commonwealth of PA

Registration:Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Education:Bachelor's degree in Nutrition required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:One year prior clinical dietitian experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Prior work with behavioral health population strongly desired.
- Ability to work weekends
