Title:
Director, Workforce Development & Programs, Service Area


Position Purpose:

Develops and drives integrated workforce strategies.

Directs, oversees execution, and provides leadership for workforce programs, and develops programming, and career pathways specific to services talent supply and retention, ensures alignment with the national workforce development (WFD) strategy.

Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites (20%) as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of and experience in developing and executing workforce program strategies and demonstrated knowledge of workforce development practices and procedures, as normally obtained through a bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively more responsible experience in organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition and/or workforce programming including apprenticeships and building national and local stakeholder partnerships.
  • Experience in a multisite/location, multilocation business, and/or integrated health system experience highly preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related leadership experience overseeing a talent acquisition or workforce development team.

What you will do:


  • Provides executive leadership for workforce development operations, administration, funding support, and related project management.
  • Hires, mentors, and provides daily direction WFD members.
  • Oversees workforce development related strategies for program development, with a specific focus on entry level job families and colleagues severing in entry level roles.
  • Delivers effective and efficient strategies, in support of strategic business initiatives in. Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Organization Effectiveness, Community Health and Wellbeing and strategic Human Resources objectives.
  • Partners internal executive stakeholders and external key stakeholders to develop innovative, strategic, and forwardthinking programs, talent supply initiatives, and processes that provide top talent through various innovative workforce programs and channels.
  • Identifies funding opportunities to support key initiatives, development of programs, barrier removal and increased retention.
