    Description

    Position Summary:

    · Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.

    Core Responsibilities and Tasks :

    · Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.

    · Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.

    · Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.

    · Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.

    · May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products. Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g., color code, plc. thermal welding and thread taping.

    · Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.

    · Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site.

    · Completes required documentation related to production.

    · Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.

    · Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings. Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.

    · Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.

    Position Requirement:

    Formal Education Required:

    · High School Diploma or GED.

    Knowledge & Experience Required:

    · Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.

    · Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.

    · Must be able to lift and carry up to thirty pounds.

    · Must be able to climb and descend stairs.

    · Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.

    · Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. May work indoors and outdoors as needed.

    · Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.

    · May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required. May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.

    · Work surfaces may include concrete.

    · Employees must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
