Since 2015, we've completed many of the world's first digital commerce transactions, including the first online real estate closing, online mortgage closing, online auto sale, and online will and we're still just getting startedWe're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.
In this role, you'll manage the more complicated general ledger accounting including accounting for leases under ASC 842, capitalizing internally developed software and revaluing warrants.
In addition, you will be responsible for the monthly financial close, the documentation of processes and the writing of technical accounting memos for unique and complex transactions.
What you'll do as the Senior Technical Accountant at ProofAccount for leases under ASC 842Calculate and amortize Internally Developed Software including maintaining process with Engineering leaders to ensure accuracyRecord Stock based comp on a monthly basis, maintain black scholes inputs as needed and contribute to annual 409A valuation process Perform general journaling and analysis on assigned general ledger accounts across the entire G/L on a monthly basis to ensure balances are reconciled and variances to budgets/forecasts are explainedProvide commentary and support for monthly flux review of income statement and balance sheetCommissions/ bonus accounting for accrual basis accountingDebt accounting / covenant reporting assistance and revaluation of warrants Intercompany accountingAssist in monthly external financial reporting package preparation and reviewHelp with year-end financial audit and annual controls review Implement financial controls within your functional areaWhat we're looking forA Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Business from an accredited College/University required5-7 years of experience, preferably SAAS/software or high-tech environment1- 3 years public experience preferred not requiredProficient with automated general ledger / ERP applicationsExperience with all accounting areas including, but not limited to accrual based accounting, and, equity and debt US GAAP standardsIntrinsic Self Motivation with an eye for detailHighly skilled, without the egoProven ability to lead and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment Strong communication skills Ability to prioritize and build consensus within multidisciplinary teams Quick learner, able to pick up accounting and finance knowledge on-the-go in a fast-paced environment without appreciable directionStrong attention to detail, is hands on, able to grasp concepts (not simply the mechanics), and is adept at identifying changeComplete and proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e.
