    Description

    **Cocktail Server | PT | Variable Shift**

    **Department:** Ponderosa Lounge **Location:** Portland, OR

    **The Ponderosa Lounge and Grill is Portlands biggest and best country western bar, where we have been doing Portland nightlife Pondo Style since 1969.**

    **We have an opening for **a Cocktail Server Scheduled shift will vary and will include weekends.****

    Responsible for serving patrons in the bar and in the restaurant. Aiding the bartender in the preparation of alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons. Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks including assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations. Providing a clean, pleasant place for patrons. Responsible for writing tickets and delivering orders. Maintaining your section, to include cleaning tables and filling beverages. Assist other cocktail servers in picking up glasses and tending to patrons as needed.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum 2 years previous serving experience in high volume lounge is required.

    Excellent at multitasking.

    Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations to include making change for patrons.

    Must be able to obtain Oregon Food Handlers Certificate and OLCC Servers Permit within 30 days of starting.

    Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

    MICROS experience is highly desired.

    Must be able to handle a wide variety of personalities and problem situations to achieve highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for a minimum of six hours. Use hands and fingers for filing, to operate a computer key board, cash register, and phones. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee is required to talk, see, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds with the aid of a dolly.
