Our client, a leading global engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their team at their Novi, Michigan facility.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities and building relationships with customers in the Detroit OEM market.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and experience selling to the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
Manage sales activities, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and building relationships with customers
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and work with internal teams to develop innovative solutions
Communicate technical concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner
Work with internal teams to prepare proposals and cost estimates
Negotiate and close sales contracts with customers
Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's growth
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
Proven track record of successful sales in the Detroit OEM market
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take initiative
Ability to travel as required
