Major Duties:


Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the MCX24 and vending machines located at MCAS Miramar are regularly serviced, clean, and in working condition.

This position reports to the MCX24 Micromart Supervisor.


Major Duties:

Receives and loads vending items for delivery to vending and micromart locations. Removes aged food or other merchandise from machines and micromart, replenishes merchandise, and makes appropriate notations on required documents. Monitors brands and sale prices to ensure adequate stocking levels and compliance with approved selling prices.

Cleans interior and exterior of machines, coolers, fixtures, and kiosks to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations, takes note of potential maintenance and/or safety concerns and notifies supervisor immediately of issues and concerns.

Responsible for emptying trash cans, performing light maintenance duties, and minor repairs.

Drives motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds throughout an installation under limited traffic conditions at low speeds.

Escorts vending machine companies onto Flightline to service, stock, and perform general maintenance on vending machines. Must maintain Flightline driver¿s license credentials by adhering to driving rules and regulations.

Provides exceptional customer service by connecting with people in a meaningful way. Upholds high service standards through respect, courtesy, professionalism, and teamwork.

Takes the initiative to solve problems quickly but recognizes when to seek assistance from supervisor to solve issues and/or problems.

Collaborates in a professional and supportive manner with customers, co-workers, management, senior leadership, and vendors to foster a positive and proactive team environment.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications:


Skills and Knowledge:
Basic skill sufficient to start, stop, and back-up a motor vehicle. Knowledge of the height, width, length, and weight of vehicle to operate safely. Ability to read and understand installation maps and other locator documents for finding various buildings and facilities. Ability to load and arrange cargo to prevent shifting, falling, and breakage. Driver's license is required.


Responsibility:
Works with specific oral and written instructions. Worker is called upon to use continual care, due to the nature of tools and equipment used. After receipt of instructions, worker may complete duties involving several distinct tasks or steps independently.


Physical Effort:
Light to moderate effort is required in bending, stooping, and lifting. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.


Working Conditions:
Works both inside and outside and occasionally is exposed to bad weather conditions. Drives in all types of weather. Indoor working conditions may expose the worker to drafts, noise, dust and dirt and require standing on concrete floors. The tools, equipment, and heavy objects involved occasionally present chances of serious injury.
