If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Sustainability group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Energy Efficiency Expert and Sustainability Analyst Our team works a hybrid 980 schedule located at our Idaho Falls and Site facilities with every other Friday off


    Responsibilities Include:

    Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical lead for energy efficiency analysis to inform design, and operation of INL energy and water consuming buildings, systems, and equipment.

    Direct and provide highly specialized Energy Efficiency and Sustainability engineering expertise and program management. Lead preparation of energy related documents and policy that impact organizational objectives, decisions, and goals.

    Determine appropriate methods and develop large complex building energy efficiency projects that involve multidisciplinary activities and are typically developed with little or no precedence.

    Provide the tools and expertise for Green Building design, construction, and operation.

    Qualitative research, data analysis, presentation development, and client interfacing that may include complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

    Synthesize concepts into written and visual reports for both non-technical and technical audiences.

    Work on a variety of grid modernization, inquisitive building, resilience, and sustainability related initiatives for INL real property assets and utilities.

    Technical lead for the development of INL energy efficiency policy, establishment of goals, and tracking of related results. This role also supports budget development and management for the sustainability program and energy efficiency related projects.

    Lead for providing thorough engineering solutions to the development a wide range of complex, sometimes ambiguous, and/or difficult projects to improve energy and water efficiency at INL.

    INL Domain Expert on the Guiding Principles for Sustainable Federal Buildings and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Manage the INL Electric Vehicle Charging Program.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree plus 5-8 years, or Advanced Degree & 3-6 years experience. Prefer degree programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Energy Management fields. Experience working with and analyzing large data sets. Experience with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet and database software. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills required. Energy industry experience performing energy system modeling and analysis. Experience with GHG reporting, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and LEED.


    Preferred Requirements:
    LEED Accredited Professional Job Information Salary Grade PR0300: 210 ($93,492 - $154,212) / Salary Grade PR0400: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336) Chosen applicants are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
