- Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the warehouse facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and staff to assess safety risks, develop corrective action plans, and implement measures to eliminate or mitigate hazards.
- Provide safety training and orientation to new employees, including proper handling of equipment, emergency procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to warehouse safety and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a resource for warehouse staff on safety-related issues and promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) certification preferred.
- Proven experience 5 years in warehouse safety management or a related role, preferably in the Food Industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective safety solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Safety Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. You will work closely with warehouse management and staff to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement measures to mitigate them. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing safety training, conducting regular inspections, and investigating incidents to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Ability to travel up to 50%, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.
