- Primary Role: The Electrophysiology Technologist specializes in tasks within the context of invasive cardiovascular procedures. They operate cutting-edge equipment under the supervision of a qualified physician to facilitate various cardiovascular procedures.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with image acquisition, processing, and electrophysiology during procedures.
- Support physicians and the invasive team throughout procedures.
- Maintain the laboratory, manage supplies, and ensure accurate billing.
- Provide patient care, contribute to departmental efficiency, and support internal and external customers.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives.
- Licensing/Certification:
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS certification by the American Heart Association (preferred)
- Additional preferred certifications include RCIS, RCES, ARRT
- Education: Associates Degree in Health Sciences or related field (preferred) along with specific accredited certifications.
- Work Experience: Clinical patient care experience is required. Previous experience in electrophysiology is preferred.
