We have a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Medical Billing Supervisor to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Work with and lead daily collaboration and supervision of Billing Representative in vertical.
- Ensure monthly invoices are submitted to clients in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Clinical/Sales team to ensure all charges are entered timely and month close is completed by the deadline.
- Communicate with clinic representatives and pursue collection efforts of invoice payments according to the term sheet agreement.
- Efficiently manage patient/clinic complaints pertaining to billing.
- Correctly code diagnoses and procedures along with a review of applicable insurance policy guidelines
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, relevant healthcare regulations, and data privacy issues.
- Assist the Sales team and Clinic representative with billing inquiries.
- Assist with claim resubmission projects when necessary.
- Review accounts that have partial or underpayments.
- Handle incoming calls from patients and insurance companies regarding claims and patient balances.
- Review accounts to determine if billed correctly.
- Supports and adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree, preferred.
- 5 years high volume medical billing experience.
- 5 years' experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial carriers' collections.
- Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, goal oriented.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to employ deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) is critical for this position.
- Strong cognitive skills including analysis, problem solving, high attention to detail, and decision making.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Great organizational skills
- Above average organizational and time management skills
- Strong Microsoft Office experience with emphasis on Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Knowledge of Federal, state and HIPAA privacy regulation, a plus.
