Position Title:
Mill Services Manager

Reports To:
General Manager

Overview of Position:

The Mill Services Manager manages communication between the customer (mill) and Phoenix Global. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manages special projects on a daily basis as assigned by the customer, including grading, road building, and construction
Provides leadership for shift leads through effective and respectful communications, coaching, and training
Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand as it relates to special projects
Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and ontime delivery
Ensures compliance with company and customer policies
Manages compliance with state and federal regulations
Manages all jobs involved with customers, while maintaining schedules, deadlines, and customer relation

Work Environment:

This role leads and directs the workforce in a heavy industrial setting requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment.

This job also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

This job requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently.

Required Education and Experience:

5+ years' experience as Project Manager in an industrial environment

Preferred Education and Experience:

35 years' experience in Steel/Slag industry
