- Responsible for the support and administration of all computing systems (servers, hardware, and software) design, implementation, maintenance, management, performance tuning, and overall operations of the Delphinus Engineering Corporate Computing Environment mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management to provide a high level of service to the Delphinus organization.
- Systems implementation, configuration, and administration must be in accordance with the security controls specified in current Federal and DoD requirements as defined in NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP , DOD , FAR clause , DoD or Federal directives, vendor guidance, and industry best practices.
- Provide project management support for all project tasking assigned by the Infrastructure Support Manager, Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and/or the CIO. This includes overall project task development, scheduling, tracking, testing, and verification testing and documentation to standards approved by the ISSM and the CIO. Provide project technical leadership and oversight of Infrastructure Support personnel assigned to tasking.
- Provide technical oversight for all enterprise systems, servers, and operating system software advancements and technical integration efforts within the Delphinus corporate infrastructure. These duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating activities such as analysis of new products, product acquisition, management, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, periodic testing and evaluation, and tech refresh of enterprise systems at all Delphinus locations.
- Deploying and configuring clients and server OS and approved software in a secure manner to meet the requirements as applied to Delphinus by Federal and DoD customers, ensuring that the servers and clients provide adequate protection against malicious code, exploit, data loss, and other attacks to minimize risk to Delphinus and its data.
- Ensuring operations and performance monitoring occurs, reviewing the results of such monitoring, and notifying the Delphinus computing environment Manager, ISSM, and the CIO of significant findings.
- Ensuring the development, review, endorsement, and maintenance of enterprise systems related documentation, hardware inventory, software inventory, system architecture diagrams, procurement, and all other related documents as required.
- Maintaining a master repository of all enterprise system drawings and documentation and modifications compliant with Configuration Management process and policies to include leading the Configuration Change Review Board.
- Deploying new services/products and managing existing services and products to best support the Delphinus Engineering user community and business processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for the infrastructure support staff required to accomplish assigned tasking as well as troubleshooting and status reporting.
- Ensure procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with configuration management (CM) policies and practices for the testing and authorization of enterprise system hardware or software prior to introduction or use in production computing enclaves/environments.
- Bachelor's Degree (Minimum)
- Information Assurance Certification (IAT level II minimum - Security+ and Networking+)
- MCSE Server Certification preferred
- 5+ Years of in-depth system administration design, implementation and troubleshooting experience in support of geographically dispersed enterprise computing environments.
- Strong/Proven Leadership Skills.
- Knowledge and experience with configuration and support of Microsoft workstation and server systems including Windows 7, Windows 10, and all versions of Microsoft Server operating systems.
- Knowledge and experience implementing, configuring, and managing Active Directory administration including the integration of Active Directory across enterprise systems as well as GPO creation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge and experience with Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS).
- Knowledge and experience administering and supporting a complex Office 365 enterprise environment. Experience with Office 365 GOV preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Power Shell scripting.
- Knowledge and experience managing and administering UNIX server systems.
- Knowledge and experience managing an SQL server environment.
- Experience in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Experience working in Virtual Environments including Azure cloud and AWS.
- Experience VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge and experience with McAfee Endpoint Security Suite (ePO, Virus Scan Enterprise, DLP, HIPS, full disk encryption) or DISA HBSS product.
- Knowledge and experience implementing Server and Workstation configurations to support network segregation and asset cyber protection. This includes system vulnerability scanning preferably with NESSUS, system hardening, patching, implementation of the DISA STIGs, completion of STIG checklists manually and with the use of the SCAP Compliance Checker.
