- Applicant must have great interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task while being well organized.
- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program for R.N. and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Dedication to providing excellent patient care.
- Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
- The candidate is required to work rotating Saturday mornings.
- The candidate must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel in Bay Area.

- Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Dispenses medication as directed.
- Oversees appointment bookings and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situation.
- Maintains timely flow of patients.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests. Takes history and performs any necessary testing or procedures as required.
- Performs PFT's, inhalation therapy, EKG's, shots, skin testing per office procedures.
- Sets up billing information, asthma status, and no-show information on shot records for all new patients going on shots.
- Writes prescriptions for medications to be approved and signed by physician.
- Calls prescriptions in to pharmacy accurately and promptly.
- Screens doctors' messages and makes decisions on patient calls to alleviate the physician workload.
- Follows protocols as to what decisions can and cannot be made by a Registered Nurse.
- Files shot records and pulls records as needed.
- Triage calls as needed.
- Arranges for patient testing and admissions.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintains and reviews patients records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Screens and refers pharmaceutical representatives.
- Gives shots and judges reactions promptly and accurately.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or physician.
