Here, you will be joining a team of nationally recognized physicians, nurses, surgeons, and specialists known for their quality of care, positive outcomes, innovative treatments, technologies, and research.

Join the Magnet-recognized RN team within our brand-new, six-story tower that features latest diagnostic and surgical facilities.

OPSC PACU supports 12 OR's that accommodate: General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Urology, GI, neuro, pain, plastics, and hematology-oncology.

The daily census ranges from patients per day with on average 15-20% representing the pediatric population, which we also provide pre-operative support for.

Peds Pre-op staff arrive at 0600, with PACU staff arriving between , most working 10 hour shifts, with 8 and 12 hour shifts uncommon but considered on a case by case basis - No weekends, nights or holidays.

The PACU offers an excellent opportunity to practice on a team of collaborative professionals within a supportive environment.

In order to thrive in the PACU a candidate will be quick on their feet, team player, have excellent communication skills, be knowledgeable, curious, unafraid to ask questions and collaborate, and be prepared to grow both personally and professionally.

Position Compensation Range:
$ $53.00 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
