- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and systems related to conveyor equipment, including motors, sensors, PLCs, and control panels.
- Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and cable routing according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure successful installation and integration of conveyor systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance of conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation of conveyor equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while working on electrical installations and repairs.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and operators on conveyor system operation and maintenance procedures.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance activities conducted on conveyor systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician, with specific experience in conveyor installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, including AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with conveyor equipment manufacturers' specifications and installation guidelines.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
