The position of Warehouse Supervisor will be based out of our Pasadena, TX location:
Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the warehouse team's efficiency and accuracy of filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets customer demands as well as company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.

Participates in the hiring of new employees, and responsible for training and assigning daily work activities.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately address safety concerns
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to a team of warehouse employees to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity
  • Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees. Responsible for training and coordinating daily activities related to receiving, shipping, picking, and packing of inventory and noninventory items
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment and maintain the security of the Warehouse
  • Ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Utilize Workforce Management System (WMS) metrics, reporting and other tools to increase warehouse productivity
  • Evaluate policies and procedures to improve efficiency and make recommendations for improvement
  • May fill in for other warehouse roles and makes deliveries as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • High School or GED
  • 3+ years of Warehouse experience
  • 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform job duties of all departmental positions
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manual
  • Ability to perform various tasks on computers, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word is required
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean and Process Flow Layout in Warehouses
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage schedules, prioritize and multitask
  • Must be service oriented, selfmotivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership skills, and customer service skills
