    Description

    The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) is the primary contact for franchisees in the South East Territory. The FBC provides and directs initial training and ensures that the franchisee, and their employees, are trained and certified to Company standards. The FBC provides ongoing training as necessary and ensures effective on-going training, which utilizes Company training tools, is taking place in their locations. The FBC assists the franchisees and licensees in the opening of their first location and provides support as necessary for subsequent locations. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. As a traveling position, this person will work from their home office when not traveling and will be required to come to the corporate office located in Dallas, Texas periodically for meetings, product sampling and development and other projects.

    The FBC provides ongoing support primarily by conducting scheduled business reviews, which are designed to improve store operations, sales, and profits. Additionally, the FBC is required to conduct both announced and unannounced store audits which are designed to reinforce and maintain our brand standards of excellence. They will provide ongoing communication and provide training on new promotions and products throughout the year. They will be responsible for communication and critical discussions regarding the franchisee and the Company as it relates to their agreement with the Company.

    A Franchise Business Consultant candidate must possess, and be able to demonstrate, excellent written and verbal communication skills, additionally are able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. They should have 3-5 years of multi-unit experience in the restaurant industry with an emphasis on operations and marketing. They should have some experience with franchising.

    The ideal candidate must show competence in business acumen and have a basic understanding of retail store development and construction. They also must be organized and able to manage their time wisely. They must be an effective planner. They must be able to confidently make decisions that demonstrate good judgment. Furthermore, they should be able to build and maintain a professional relationship with their franchisees, one that is mutually beneficial to both the Company and franchise, and which ultimately will drive commitment and measurable results. A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and can work in an, at times, the ambiguous environment is preferred. Regular travel is required. Overnight travel is required.

    Responsibilities:

    1) Maximize Sales and net profitability of stores. Guide Franchise and garner support from the marketing team in the creation of tactical and strategic action plans designed to improve areas of opportunity.

    2) Ensure that stores are fully executing Company promotions and programs on a timely basis and in an appropriate manner. Conduct training, as necessary.

    3) Train and certify franchisee or licensee and ensure all employees in the FSM's respective region are following our established training and certification guidelines.

    4) Work directly with the development, marketing, and finance team to facilitate needed support for your respective franchisee and licensees. Provide feedback and communication for areas of opportunity.

    5) Ensure that stores are clean, fully stocked, and the merchandise is in code and properly rotated. Brand standards should be in place and guarantee stores are delivering excellence when serving our products. Your stores must follow state, and local permits, licenses, and practices

    6) Develop and maintain successful franchise relations through proactive, routine communication.

    7) Ensure focus on brand reputation by leading and driving operational performance and overall customer satisfaction in all Franchise stores to achieve the operations and business performance goals for the specified portfolio of Franchisees, as set by brand leadership.

    8) Provide leadership and influence Franchisee(s) to ensure they are investing in their operations and remaining up to date on Operational Standards and processes.

    9) Serve as the brand and company's point of contact for all items related to franchisee operations, profitability, and growth.

    10) Analyze business information (financial information, market information, staffing, management practices, etc.) and advise and consult with the Franchisee(s) to drive business growth.

    11) Work with internal partners (operations, finance, marketing, technology, supply chain, and development) to implement business initiatives, promotions, existing and new standards and processes, existing and new technology, and test programs.

    12) Responsible for regular visits to assigned Franchise locations across the US (minimum of 1 in-person visit per store each year, supplemented with virtual consultation, email correspondence, and regular phone calls).

    13) Communicate post-visit tasks to owners and follow up to ensure compliance with Brand standards.

    14) Document all interactions and communications between Franchisee and Corporate in the company approved Franchise Management System (FranConnect).

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience.
    • 4 + years of experience in Multi unit Restaurant Management.
    • Ability for extensive travel, 50%-80% of the time.
    • Must be able to travel on long duration trips (up to 14 days)
    • Proven ability in developing and maintaining strong business relationships
    • Ability to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines and adapt quickly to shifts in priorities
    • Strong written communication with experience in proofreading, editing, and writing
    • Ability to think creatively when creating and organizing printed materials
    • Perform math and measurement calculations in English with the ability to train on business metrics. (cost of goods sold, etc.)
    • Strong project management skills from conception to evaluation, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to deadline
    • Ability to partner and build relationships while demonstrating leadership and integrity and promoting team success.
    • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in all situations.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or driving in a vehicle.
    • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds at times.
    • Must complete a full background check
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
