    Job Description:

    The Assistant Director, Alumnae & Volunteer Engagement supports the goals of the Alumnae & Volunteer Engagement department which include maximizing the involvement of all Mount alumnae, increasing financial support of the University, and strengthening the linkages among alumnae, students, staff and faculty.

    As part of this effort, the Assistant Director plans and implements strategic programming, volunteer opportunities, and marketing/communication for the University's 24,000+ alumnae.

    The Assistant Director will also support the department's goal of building a culture of philanthropy among the Mount community by overseeing the Mount Traditions Club and supporting other philanthropic initiatives as assigned.

    $6,066.67/month

    Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.




    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Directs the planning, organization, marketing, coordination, and evaluation of engagement strategies and events, particularly those related to reunion, young alumnae, and student programs.

    Recruits, manages, and grows the Mount Traditions Club to instill a culture of philanthropy and teach students to serve as primary stewards of Mount Traditions.

    In partnership with Annual Giving colleagues, the Assistant Director manages the Senior Class Gift program, executes Senior Farewell events, oversees student participation in Mount Day of Giving, recent grad transition, and other philanthropic initiatives with students/recent grads as assigned.

    Develops, promotes, and maintains traditions, new programs, and services designed to generate and maintain alumnae interest and support for the University.

    Assists the Director, Alumnae & Volunteer Engagement regarding all aspects of Homecoming including event logistics, volunteer outreach and management, marketing/communications, and reunion giving.

    As a key member of the Homecoming Committee, collaborates with other committee members to develop, plan, market, coordinate and oversee all general alumnae activities that take place during Homecoming.

    Strategically oversees and grows the Class Ambassador program including recruitment, training, and engagement of alumnae to serve in this capacity.

    Supports and expands alumnae career services programming and mentorship opportunities including optimization of Graduway online platform, webinars, panel discussions, networking events, and classroom speaking engagements.

    Oversees digital communications, including Alumnae Association web pages, newsletter and social media platforms.
    Attends Alumnae Association board and committee meetings and assists with board and committee recruitment, meetings and events.
    Conducts 20 alumnae engagement visits per year.
    Performs other duties, as assigned.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Evening and weekend work, as necessary.
    Some travel required.


    Requirements:

    Knowledge:
    Demonstrates initiative, creativity and decision-making.

    Highly developed computer skills including experience with, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint as well as fund raising software Raiser's Edge.

    Ability to organize, prioritize and handle simultaneous projects to meet established goals.
    Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of constituents including alumnae, students, faculty, staff, donors, and parents.


    Abilities and Skills:
    Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills.
    Excellent project management and planning skills, as well as superior attentiveness to detail.
    Ability to recruit, train and effectively manage volunteers.
    Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, are required.
    Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree required.

    Experience:

    1-3-years volunteer management, university setting preferred.
    A track record of program development and management.
