Your tasks


As an intern in our Advanced Technology Engineering Molds department, you will investigate the technical and economic application of additive manufacturing processes for the production of injection molding tool inserts, in order to accelerate prototype development and meet the requirements of medical plastic components. As part of our Molds department, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the development and production of additive injection molding tool inserts, taking into account series-related conditions. This gives you the chance to work in an innovative area of the plastics and medical technology industry and gain experience in evaluating and optimizing related manufacturing processes, actively driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company.


•You will develop and evaluate a procedure for the production and integration of injection molding tool inserts using the SLA process in the existing tool development process


•You will validate your approach in a pilot project with a corresponding technical and economic evaluation and recommendations for action


•You will support the activities of the Metrology & Advanced Technology Engineering Molds department and gain practical experience in the phases of qualification processes for medical injection molding tools

Your qualifications

  • You are studying mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, production and automation technology, technology management, medical technology, or a similar field and are looking to complete your mandatory internship (minimum duration 18-22 weeks) in the next semester
