Description
Reports to General Manager/Chef. Oversees operations, managing cash, resolving conflicts, directs FOH staff ensuring shift runs smoothly and effectively. Ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied. Monitors stock and inventory of caf/restaurant supplies. Makes sure shift is staffed accordingly in accordance to business level projections.Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and feedback to staff during shifts
- Schedule employee shifts and assign duties
- Manage timeoff requests and handle lastminute absences
- Train and coach employees
- Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed
- Address guest and employee complaints and concerns
- Resolve conflicts between staff
- Foster and maintain a positive work environment
- When closing ensure facility is locked and secured.
- Ability to answer all questions regarding menu items and standard of procedures by employees/ guests
- At least 2 Years managerial/supervisory role in Hospitality industry, former server/barista preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent Customer Service Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to maintain positive work environment amongst staff.
- ServSafe Certificaiton
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast paced environment
- Critical problem solving
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
