Join us as an Oncology Area Director (OAD) in our West Area Hematology team, where you will provide inspirational leadership, drive high performance through tumor-level area execution, and inspire commitment.

You will be a role model, coach, and liaison to leaders, fostering an ethical, diverse, and inclusive mindset while recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.


Accountabilities:

As an OAD, you will understand the tumor priorities of AstraZeneca, key accounts, and the Area at large. You will partner with Oncology Business Managers (OBM) and Field Business Analysts to synthesize insights across Geos and Area. You will identify senior-level partners at key accounts across the Area and engage with them.

You will also lead efforts within the Area to recruit, hire, and develop a diverse and inclusive Regional Oncology Business Manager Team.


Essential Skills/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Strong proficiency in critical thinking, project management, communication/presentation and arbitration/influencing skills
  • 10 years proven experience in multiple commercial functional business area (e.g. Sales and Sales Management, Sales Operations, (Brand Team/Marketing, Market Access)
  • Proven leadership capabilities and/or people management
  • Commercial oncology experience

Desirable Skills/Experience:


  • MBA Preferred
  • Validated understanding of customer segments and regional market dynamics within oncology
  • Specific experience in commercial hematologic oncology preferred
  • Understanding of Oncology Ecosystem and Business of Oncology preferred
  • Strong financial management and business acumen
  • Proven clinical/scientific acumen
  • Individual must demonstrate collaboration, entrepreneurialism, flexibility and tenacity
