Our Solana Beach, California office seeks to add an experienced Estate Planning Attorney with business formation experience to our growing staff.

Our office is located in the Cedros Design District, just a short walk from the beach, cafes, and shops.


Work with successful and entrepreneurial clients from across the nation and abroad, at the forefront of estate planning and asset protection strategies with exceptional staff in a collegial and family-oriented environment.

You will have excellent paralegal support, in-house marketing, top-notch networking, and the best research and drafting tools including the full suite of WestLaw, CEB OnLaw, and WealthCounsel.


Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California. Bar admission to WY, NV, FL a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities:


  • Consult with clients to assess their financial situation, goals, and concerns.
  • Draft trusts and other testamentary documents tailored to the unique needs of highnetworth clients.
  • Develop taxefficient strategies to minimize estate taxes, gift taxes, and other tax liabilities.
  • Advise clients on wealth preservation and asset protection strategies.
  • Advise clients on philanthropic strategies and charitable giving.
  • Draft/create, and advise clients regarding charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Assist clients with the transfer and succession of businesses.
  • Handle real estate matters related to the transfer and management of highvalue properties.
  • Oversee the administration of trusts and estates.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to provide comprehensive wealth management services.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain continuing legal education regarding changes in laws, regulations, and public policy.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy for clients with sensitive financial information.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff and junior attorneys.
  • Follow firm policies and procedures.
