Summary:

The Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Division in the Michael E.

DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine seeks a board-certified or board-eligible critical care surgeon to join as Instructor with its affiliates, CHI Baylor St.

Luke's Medical Center and Ben Taub General Hospital.


Job Duties:


  • Conduct clinical activities at Harris Health
  • Ben Taub Hospital and CHI St. Luke's Medical Center.
  • Contribute to the success of the organization through high quality patient care services.
  • Provide call coverage at Harris Health
  • Ben Taub Hospital and CHI St. Luke's Medical Center
  • Actively participate in college, department, hospital and clinical professional meetings.
  • Grow the acute care surgery division through participation in clinical, research, and education efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Texas Medical Board certification or eligibility.
  • Completion of a certified general surgery residency program.
  • American Board of Surgery certification or eligibility for general surgery and/or surgical critical care.
