Position Summary:

Supervises the receipt and distribution activities of purchased equipment, materials, and supplies. Oversees inventory process. Interacts with vendors to place requisitions for the Stores department. Trains Stores staff on all processes.

Position Key Accountabilities:


  • Oversees the receiving and distribution activities of HCPC and DBSC.
  • Oversees inventory management activities of HCPC and DBSC.
  • Ensures the prompt answering of incoming calls and timely delivery of resulting orders.
  • Investigates discrepancies and damaged shipments received. Reconciles issues to the purchase orders by interacting with the departments, internal purchasing, and outside vendors.
  • Develops processes to ensure the accurate and timely receipt and delivery of inventory.
  • Returns merchandise and mis-shipments to vendors and freight companies on a daily basis.
  • Ensures all property is stored in a manner that complies with all regulatory guidelines.
  • Identifies new products needed for HCPC and DBSC operations.
  • Interacts with vendors to identify solutions and place orders for the Stores Department.
  • Actively participates in all aspects of Stores operations.
  • Provides summary reports of Stores activities to management.
  • Trains all assigned personnel in receiving, processing, warehousing, and delivering prompt and accurate shipments.
  • Provides work direction and guidance to personnel within the department.
  • Assists in the evaluation of HCPC and DBSC Stores personnel.
  • Ensures safety rules and procedures are adhered to on the premises.
  • Drives hospital van to pick up and deliver supplies and personnel for the HCPC and DBSC as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent


Minimum Experience:

Four (4) years of directly related experience; including one year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.


Physical Requirements:


Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or over 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
