Job Description and Duties

The Radiologic Technologist is under the direct supervision of the Senior Radiologic Technologist Specialist and the professional supervision of the Radiologist.

The incumbent assists with the daily operation of the X-ray clinic and assists the Radiologist.

This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only.

California Correctional Health Care Services is currently administering a continuous file examination for the Radiologic Technologist, Correctional Facility classification, which PDC is borrowing to fill this vacancy.

Working Conditions


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess and maintain sufficient strength (lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted), agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement.


TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ongoing interaction with clients and employees. Potential exposure to radiation, chemicals, communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other conditions common to radiological environment.

Department Information

The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers.

The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Special Requirements
