    Vaco is hiring for a Brand Manager in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a direct hire opportunity that sits fully onsite.


    POSITION SUMMARY:


    Manage full spectrum of day-to-day marketing functions for both the base business and new product lines/launches for assigned product lines.

    Contribute to strategies and manage the tactical execution of consumer messaging and media across all touch points to help drive product portfolio sales and profitable growth.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Contribute to the strategic direction of the brand through brand planning and execution, product innovation planning, consumer insights, communications development, and budget management.
    • Effectively apply strong project management skills and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to gain a solid understanding of consumer and customer insights and market analysis.
    • Lead thinking with our Advertising Agency of Record through the development and execution of the annual consumer marketing media plan elements, including TV, Digital, Social and Print advertising, and content.
    • Lead the fully integrated implementation of online, social media, and public relations initiatives, along with the development of required collateral materials.
    • Manage and monitor the Advertising monthly budget to ensure that funds are spent as planned for assigned brands and areas of responsibility. Ensure that funds are optimally invested based upon ROI.
    • Manage as it pertains to brands, the advertising Agency of Record to ensure effective ongoing communication, strict adherence to brand guidelines and to internal and external deadlines.
    • Ensure that each brand voice is accurately represented in all initiatives including public relations and brand-specific social media. Develop an annual plan for each that ensures new ideas are vetted and tested, and that all initiatives are fully optimized.
    • Partner with the Agency, iSpot and marketing research team to ensure that analysis of consumer marketing media/promotional activities, especially for Back-to-School, are assessed and shared with internal and external stakeholders. Champion marketing's media/promotional insight.
    • Participate in the strategic positioning, consumer planning and execution of new product launch messaging and media.
    • Partner with Product Management to ensure key messages are accurately represented in all brand brief and product copy initiatives across assigned product lines.
    • Point of contact for outside sponsorships, contracts and support for partner organizations based on brand responsibilities. Ensure optimization of consumer messaging and lead media planning with these agencies.
    • Maintain and update brand level documentation for messaging. Partner with the marketing research team to ensure that advertising claims are supported; prepare and present materials for use in Sales presentations in partnership with Product Management.
    • Actively participate in advertising and content shoots, events, PR initiatives, trade shows and customer calls as needed.
    • Create and cultivate strong lines of communication with cross-functional colleagues including Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Finance as well as outside vendors/agencies.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years previous marketing and consumer products experience.


    SKILLS REQUIRED:
    Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proven track record in development and implementation of marketing and PR initiatives tied to growth. A high degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail are essential. Strong analytical and project management skills with a proven track record of maintaining a level strategy. PC literate with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of software.
