Overview:
The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High degree of manual dexterity
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters
- Knowledge of production schedules
- Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry
- Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail
- May be required to obtain a towmotor license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Continuous positioning and lifting pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, & stoop when required and stand for extended periods
- Occasional heavy lifting up to 100 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment is typical of a manufacturing production atmosphere.
- High noise levels in certain parts of the plant
- Extreme heat during summer months
- Required PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection

Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
- Perform quality and standard checks
- Participate in die changes as scheduled
- Complete appropriate data sheets as required
- Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required
- Maintain inventories needed for production run
- Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
- Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
