Personnel Security Assistant II
Reports To:
The Customer and Project Manager

Work Location:
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Summary of duties include but not limited to:
- Utilize the National Background Investigations Services (NBIS) System for data entry and other incorporated functions
- High volume detailed data entry dedicated as sole "User"/data entry for Quality Assessment Rating Tool (QART) Repository
- Case review of closed background investigation completeness based on the Federal Investigative Standards
- Background Investigation Tracking Spreadsheets
- Background Investigation Completion Letters
- Background Investigation Data Entry into FPPS for completed investigations.
- Initiation of all national security investigations
- Case review of all cases for issues and document for adjudicators
- Review investigation reports
- Visit Access Requests
Experience and Skills:
- Must have a minimum of oneyear personnel security experience, and the ability to demonstrate honesty, integrity, sound judgment, and confidentiality
- Minimum high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) equivalency
- A minimum age of twentyone years
- Must be a US citizen
- Must possess a Top Secret clearance
- Experience working with eQIP, Personnel Security Databases such as Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS)/Central Verification System (CVS), Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS)
- Demonstrable proficiency and fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language to include the ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports.
- Demonstrate courtesy and respect, and impartial enforcement of directives.
- Possess honesty, integrity, good judgment, courage, alertness, selfreliance.
- Ability and skills to tactfully and positively interact with stakeholders while maintaining poise and self
- Ability to demonstrate poise, selfconfidence, and sound decisionmaking.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing situations.
- Be and remain drug free for the duration of employment on the contract.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, run, and lift items weighing not exceeding 50 lbs
- Proficient experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access.
- Experience with extracting complex information and transferring to agency specific databases
- Experience drafting executive level communications
Working Conditions:
- Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach
- Able to sit, stand, walk, run
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
