The county of Slatedale is currently seeking a
Water Laboratory Sampling Technician (m/f/d) for the Department of Water Management and Road Construction at the Rotenburg (Wümme) office.


The Environmental and Hygiene Laboratory (UHL) of the county of Rotenburg (Wümme) has established itself as a competent and certified testing facility, providing services to the county administration, municipalities, businesses, and citizens in environmental protection matters.

The laboratory employs a total of 10 staff members, including one colleague responsible for field sampling and inspections.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling of industrial and municipal wastewater, as well as drinking water, bathing water, surface water, and groundwater.
  • Maintain and organize equipment and supplies for field sampling.
  • Record onsite parameter data in the laboratory's central database (LIMS).

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a wastewater technician, biological/chemical technical assistant, environmental protection technical assistant, environmental technician, biology or chemistry laboratory assistant, or chemical technician.
  • Must have a valid driver's license (Class B) for field work.
  • Physically fit and able to perform heavy and sometimes dirty work. Must be able to work independently and in a team. Willingness to work oncall and weekends.
