Position Description:
Laboratory Technician
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine tests in clinical laboratories for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease using standard techniques and equipment; perform related duties in the laboratory to include storing and labeling specimens and using manual and automatic equipment to prepare specimens and perform analytical tests on an immunoassay screening analyzer.
- Understand and comply with laboratory Quality Control and Quality Assurance policies and procedures for instrumentation and testing.
- Maintain detailed records of tests performed and report laboratory test results to appropriate personnel.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on test equipment, clean and sterilize laboratory equipment, maintain laboratory supply of chemicals and reagents.
- Interact in a professional and courteous manner with doctors, nurses, and other personnel to provide technical guidance and address concerns. Interact with patients in the same professional and courteous manner.
- Reviewing patient schedule for screening requirements, Collaborating with Bill Specialist on insurance and workers comp assignments, Keeping the laboratory areas clean and organized, Specimen Collection, Greeting Patients, Ensuring results are received and given to provider
- Some additional admin duties: Hours will be split between being a laboratory

$ $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
