Claims Specialist:
Do you have experience adjusting auto claims, and are looking for the next step in your career? American National is hiring a Claims Specialist to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial auto physical damage claims.
What You'll Do
- Determine liability based upon the investigation and applicable liability law which includes forwarding required forms, obtaining appropriate releases, and negotiating settlements with clients or legal representatives
- Conduct detailed phone investigations to determine liability and/or damages, obtain recorded statements, review police reports, assess the appropriate method of inspection (First and thirdparty damages) and provide thorough followup
- Review loss notices and complex policy forms to determine proper coverage, contact clients, investigate the facts surrounding the loss, while complying with the Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act, insurance laws, and regulations in all states assigned
- Negotiate loss settlements based upon the review of facts
- Establish and maintain proper reserves
- Adjudicate all aspects of the claims handling process under mínimal supervision
- Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and requirements, provisions of policy contracts, and company standards
What You'll Need
- At least 2 years of claims handling experience required
- Currently hold an appropriate state adjuster license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur fees associated / No out of pocket expenses)
