Description


The ECD and Lower School Office Assistant coordinates and maintains efficient and effective operations within the division office, works directly with the ECD and Lower School Office Manager and division administration - to provide general support to the Lower School administrative team, and assists students, faculty, staff, parents, vendors, and various school constituents, when necessary.


How to Apply

Essential Functions

  • Works directly with the ECD and Lower School Office Manager to assist with initiation and implementation of the daytoday programs and activities of the Lower School.
  • Coordinates and maintains efficient and effective operations within the division office, works directly with division administration to provide general support to the Lower School administrative team and assists students, faculty, staff, parents, vendors, and various school constituents, when necessary.
  • Aids in planning and implementing all areas of financial responsibility related to the Lower School. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the operating budget.
  • Submits purchase orders to business office on behalf of the Lower School administrators and teachers.
  • Coordinates and records the release with the School Registrar of student records, including recommendations and transcripts.
  • Assists in maintaining congruency between the school's boardapproved Mission Statement and all activities of the Lower School.
  • Coordinates and orders student consumable and teaching material and curriculum for the Lower School.
  • Organizes and completes instructions, furnished in written or oral form, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Assists with regular staff meetings; plans, prepares, takes minutes of the meeting, and ensures communication of the information that impacts department members and students.
  • Demonstrates initiative, performs administrative and secretarial support to assignments with mínimal direction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position; experience at an independent school preferred.
  • Proficient in most current version of MS Office, internet functions and database management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
  • Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.
  • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a climatecontrolled environment.
  • Ability to be mobile up to 8 hours per day.
  • Visual acuity both near and far.
  • Stooping, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling.

$40, $47,000.00 per year
