Job Summary
The Assembler will utilize hand tools to construct prepared metal into a screen frame according to the Manufacturing Order.

Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the Assembler is responsible for ensuring the following by performing work using instructions and performing any combination of the following duties:

  • Uses various hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • May utilize a staking machine or other pneumatic equipment according to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Reports concerns regarding production and product inconsistencies.
  • Maintains tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  • Maintains flow of material and product between stages of production.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively.

  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Detailoriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain equipment and general housekeeping standards.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading and effectively using a measuring tape.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • May be required to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or use machines as directed.
  • Reach with hands at arms' length and use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • Must have excellent handeye coordination.
  • Specific vision abilities require color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must wear hearing, eye and finger protection as required.
