Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

Collaborate with physical therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretches, and other activities aimed at improving range of motion and muscle strength
Perform handson techniques such as massage, joint mobilization, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation
Educate patients on proper body mechanics and injury prevention techniques
Document patient progress and communicate with the treatment team to adjust therapy plans as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
Active state licensure as a physical therapy assistant
CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Compassion and empathy for patients going through the recovery process
