Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago is seeking a customer-oriented and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our service department.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for our valued customers, guiding them through the vehicle service process and ensuring their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:


  • Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document service requests.
  • Consult with customers on recommended maintenance and repairs, explaining the process and associated costs.
  • Provide detailed estimates and timelines for service completion.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Keep customers informed of service progress and updates, providing clear and timely communication.
  • Assist in resolving any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Upsell additional services and maintenance packages to enhance customer satisfaction and vehicle longevity.
  • Maintain accurate records of service transactions and customer interactions.
  • Foster longterm customer relationships by delivering outstanding service and exceeding expectations.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience as a service advisor or in a customerfacing role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive service and repair procedures.
  • Detailoriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and teamoriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
