Our Patient Account Representatives are responsible for billing functions within Catholic Health Home Care and provide an integral resource for our teams.


  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Location: 245 Old Country Road Melville, NY

Job Details:

_ Our Patient Account Representatives:
_


  • Processing of Home Care billing for Medicare, Medicaid and/or commercial payers.
  • Posting of payments and adjustments to patients' accounts.
  • Review denials from payer sources and provide necessary followup.
  • Work on Accounts Receivable reports to maintain that all payments have been received and posted accurately.
  • Followup with outstanding accounts either electronically or speaking to insurance companies.
  • Obtain necessary insurance verification for coverage. Run reports in Epic as necessary for financial or statistical purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Electronic Medical Records experience, preferably Epic.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot and investigate rate discrepancies with.
  • High school graduate with medical billing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Home Care billing preferred.
  • Computer experience with insurance companies
  • Demonstrated problemsolving ability as well as letter writing skills.
  • Other personal traits include: courtesy, discretion and professional manner.

  • Must be detail oriented.

Posted Salary Range:
USD $ USD $28.
