Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team.

As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with acute or chronic wounds.

Your expertise in wound management and patient care will play a crucial role in promoting healing and preventing complications.

Responsibilities:

Visiting the patient in the home or facility to evaluate and treat wounds
Assessing and evaluating patients' wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan
Cleaning, dressing, and caring for wounds according to established protocols
Monitoring patients' progress and documenting changes in wound status
Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans
Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
Administering medications, including injections, as prescribed by the healthcare provider
Conducting utilization reviews to ensure appropriate use of wound care resources
Adhering to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of infection transmission

Qualifications:

Valid nurse practitioner license in [Texas]
Minimum [1] years of experience as a registered nurse practitioner in an acute care setting
Certification in wound care (e.g., Wound Care Certification Board) preferred
Strong knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and dressing techniques

Pay:
