- Be able to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, walks, curb/gutter using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
- Be willing to work in somewhat extreme weather conditions
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent/Foreman, Safety Manager, Safety Officer or HR Manager.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds)
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with concrete
- Have completed or be willing to compete OSHA 10hr (we are able to provide this training if necessary)
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work and follow verbal and written instructions

Job Summary: Hughes General Contractors, Inc. is actively searching for several experienced CONCRETE FINISHERS to join our growing team Individuals will perform tasks involving commercial construction projects in the SLC, Ogden, & Provo Utah area.
