- Lead and mentor a team of server, storage, SRE, and automation engineers, providing technical direction and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain Splunk's virtual and physical infrastructure to meet current and future business needs and improve data center services' availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
- Oversee infrastructure deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance leveraging automation tools and CICD pipelines.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Implement performance-tuning measures to optimize resource utilization, enhance system efficiency, and publish service metrics.
- Develop and execute a vulnerability management strategy to comply with security policies, protecting the infrastructure against potential threats.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select hardware, software, and services that align with organizational needs.
- Conduct regular capacity assessments and plan for future expansion based on business growth and technology advancements.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with applications and systems.
- 5+ years of management experience leading high-performance server and storage infrastructure and teams.
- Proven ability in people management, showcasing consistent leadership, and effectively mentoring team members is required.
- Illustrate comprehensive knowledge of virtualized servers, storage hardware, and software, including hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-Visor, SAN, NAS, RAID configurations, etc.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Experience with cloud computing and storage solutions, specifically AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Proficient in implementing and managing server and storage monitoring tools.
- Experience implementing standardizations and frameworks such as CCF, NIST, and ISO27001.
- Highly responsive with a keen sense of urgency and exceptional customer service skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to communicate with all management levels effectively.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize, set, and meet deadlines effectively in a dynamic business environment.
- Possess strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with staff, peers, and cross-functional partners to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Experience using Splunk tools and solutions is preferred.
- A solid understanding of Agile and the Scrum methodology is highly preferred.
