Camp Counselor for NYC Kids Camps
Are you passionate about working with children and creating unforgettable summer experiences? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors for our exciting NYC Kids Camps in New York City.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, daycare, or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Pursuing or holding a degree in education, child development, recreation, or related fields is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to engage with campers, parents, and fellow staff effectively.
- Energetic and Creative: We are looking for individuals who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to daily camp activities and programs.
- Team Player: Being a team player and collaborating with other counselors and staff is crucial to ensure a safe and fun environment for all participants.
- Responsible and Reliable: Camp Counselors must be responsible and reliable to supervise and care for campers during camp hours.
- First Aid and
CPR:
Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Camp Counselors should be physically able to participate in various outdoor activities and games with campers.
- Passion for
Child Development:
A genuine interest in contributing to the growth and development of young children is fundamental.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all camp activities.
- Plan, organize, and lead ageappropriate games, arts and crafts, sports, and other activities.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages camper participation and engagement.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camper's progress and behavior.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up camp areas as needed.
- Adhere to all camp policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

From $18.00 per hour

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
