At Fairway Architectural Railing Solutions, weve been designing custom railings and architectural designs that create the perfect finishing touch on multifamily and hospitality projects for over 30 years.

In a typical day you will...

Partner with the Estimating Manager in analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects.
Develop estimates using STACK and perform On-Screen Takeoff (OST) of architectural, landscape, civil and interior design plans.
Review architectural specifications (Div. 5) as cross-reference to on-screen takeoffs (OST).
Coordinate with sales team to refine proposed scope of work prior to takeoff.
Confer with client and sales team during takeoff.
Plan and maintain bit schedule to exceed sales team expectations.
Follow departmental and company safety rules and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the role...

Education & Experience (required unless noted otherwise):

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of previous experience in a construction or architectural background.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Proficiency in using estimating software.
Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Dependable team player with a positive attitude.
Good customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail oriented and well organized.

Work Environment/Functional Qualifications:

This role is an onsite role.
Work is performed indoors in an environmentally controlled setting.
