    Our Portland, OR Hub is currently seeking a Part-time driver to join our team

    BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

    Job Highlights:

    Wednesday, Thursday Route coverage, approximate start time 3:00 am, Overnight Hotel Stay, paid by company and warehouse duties.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Physically load and unload delivery truck in accordance with weight guidelines and limitations
    • Driving in a safe, courteous and defensive manner
    • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
    • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to dispatch/ managers
    • Truck washes/inspections and warehouse duties to be performed anytime needed.
    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
    • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and fumes or airborne particles. Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
    • Extended periods of sitting.
    • Sequential or simultaneous use of hands, arms, feet and legs.
    • Eye hand coordination.
    • Close Vision (clear vision at 20 or less).
    • Distance Vision (Clear vision at 20' or more).
    • Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
    • Depth Perception (ability to judge distance spatial relationships).
    • Hearing.
    Requirements:
    • Current U.S. Passport/Passport Card is required
    • Possess a valid driver's license
    • Experience driving cargo vans and small box trucks
    • Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude and willingness to work
    • Comfortable with smartphones - basic computer skills (email, print & scan, Word), Read maps and use GPS
    • Show basic knowledge of Pre and Post trip inspection of vehicles
    • Problem solves basic logistics issues
    • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, twist, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and prolonged sitting while driving
    • Climb in and out of box trucks repeatedly with no difficulties
    • Preferred Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years (Due to Insurance coverage)
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check
