- Oversee or dispense medication as needed;
- Maintains student records in a timely and orderly fashion, including health services data, essential learning data, and cumulative records. Regularly reports student health progress or issues as appropriate;
- Provides health services to students utilizing approved medical standards;
- Participates in child guidance discussions to provide appropriate programs for the developmental level of each student;
- Participates in team and individual program planning;
- Participates in staff meetings, planning events, and department meetings;
- Works cooperatively with total building staff to lead, guide, and coordinate others in an atmosphere of cooperation and collegiality;
- Works under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or health delivery methods;
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing;
- Washington State Education Staff Associate (ESA) Certification for School Nursing and a valid Washington State Registered Nursing License;
- A valid Washington State driver's license as driving to and from school locations is a daily requirement;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the rules and regulations of the State of Washington concerning health standards and requirements in the school setting;
- Must be flexible, exhibit a commitment to accomplishment, possess outstanding communication and conceptual skills, demonstrate appropriate and positive student relationships, possess a strong professional orientation and be willing to actively participate in a team environment;
- Demonstrated successful nursing experience;
- Demonstrated compatibility with staff, program, and school goals;
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive attitude with students, self, and others.

Voluntary Transfer Request Form - SUMMER PROGRAMS
This position will cover all Summer Programs from June 24-July 19 to be held at Marcus Whitman and Discovery Alt.
Employment is dependent on sufficient student enrollment. June 24, 2024 -July 19, 2024. Monday through Thursday, and Friday July 19. May require additional hours for set-up and wrap-up. Will work in conjunction with Summer Programs Coordinators.
Summary:
The primary focus of the School Nurse position is the implementation and monitoring of the students' health needs throughout summer programs.
Since this position is one that deals with students and at times the public, it is expected that sound judgment will always be used to protect the confidentiality of entrusted information.
The position serves students at both elementary and secondary locations throughout the district.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
