Beveridge & Diamond (B&D), the leading national corporate environmental law firm, is looking for a Marketing Events Assistant to join their team.

You will be supporting the Marketing Events Coordinator/Specialist in organizing and running virtual and face-to-face events for clients and potential clients.

No prior event planning experience is necessary (they will provide training), but having an eagerness to learn, a mentality focused on client service, attention to detail, and strong project management skills in a fast-paced setting are crucial to succeeding in this position.

About B&D's Marketing Team:

B&D's Marketing Department is a center of activity and teamwork.

They collaborate with attorneys and staff firm-wide to lead marketing and business development initiatives, connecting the dots among their lawyers, practices, and offices.

The team is expanding in line with the firm's growth and its emphasis on business development and client service.

Team members have the opportunity to engage with various functions within the department, providing chances to collaborate and receive assistance.

Responsibilities:


  • Research potential venues and vendors.
  • Keep track of and communicate with attendees.
  • Generate attendee reports using InterAction.
  • Create event materials, such as nametags, signs, PowerPoints, and handouts, under the guidance of the Marketing Events Coordinator/Specialist.
  • Organize the shipping of materials to event locations.
  • Aid in preparing speakers for events.
  • Provide day-of event assistance. Some travel may be necessary.
  • Assist with post-event activities.
  • Maintain and update the Marketing events calendar.
  • Write event and speaking posts for B&D's website.
  • Choose and manage the firm's collection of promotional items (swag).
  • Act as the InterAction data steward, overseeing the DCM inbox.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements:


  • Proactiveness, responsibility, and follow-through.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Focus on client service and hospitality, with a can-do attitude.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with lawyers and staff throughout the firm.
  • Capability to identify issues and calmly resolve problems under pressure.
  • Willingness to work extra hours during busy periods and for specific events (e.g., early mornings or evenings).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • College degree or equivalent, or proven career experience.
Preferred

  • 1-2 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Canva.
  • Familiarity with InterAction CRM.
